Once again, Khan is taking to social media to vent his frustrations over Jinder Mahal, WWE booking, and hypocrites.
With 399.7K followers on his X account, Tony Khan's followers are all fully aware that an unexpected post might cause his account to blow up at any time. Today, the President of AEW did not let us down.
How it started
In response to former Wrestling Inc. owner Raj Giri, who was mentioning the past between Seth Rollins and Jinder Mahal, the official USA Network X account responded this week during WWE Raw.
Following their participation in a promotional match, the two former WWE Champions will square off for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the January 15th episode of Raw.
In what appeared to be a jab at AEW President Tony Khan, who frequently draws attention to the strong Cagematch.net ratings that AEW pay-per-views, shows, and matches earn, the response included a question regarding the Cagematch rating.
In response to Giri's post, the USA Network only inquired, "What was the Cagematch rating?" The internet wrestling community was divided over this response, with fans applauding and criticising the account for its "zero chill" statement.
Tony Khan takes a shot at Jinder Mahal and WWE Booking
Tony Khan posted about double standards on January 9th when he signed onto X. Though AEW is frequently praised for being a "challenger brand," Khan did not hold back when he likened Jinder Mahal's shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Title to Hook being a likely contender for Samoa Joe's AEW World Title.
Tony Khan's work did not end there. He then replied to the USA Network post directly, enquiring for a Cagematch rating. The President of AEW noted that although Jinder Mahal hasn't won a match in a full year, he is about to have a significant match opportunity.
Jinder Mahal Responds
In typical 'Modern Day Maharaja' manner, former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal responded to Tony Khan's remarks criticising him and shut down the situation.
