Seth Rollins' WWE Career Would Have Been Different Without CM Punk, in his opinion

Seth Rollins' professional relationship with CM Punk is, to put it mildly, "tense," as Rollins frequently expresses his feelings about Punk to the public and on WWE TV.

The two appear to be headed towards conflict in the WWE, with Punk's return at Survivor Series 2023 raising questions about who will win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Punk also stated that Rollins' career would be very different if he hadn't paved the following paths for him on the WWE 2024 Preview Special on Peacock:

I’m in a position where it feels maybe strange, me vocalizing it but I think Seth (Rollins) is a guy, at least I definitely thought it 10 years ago, that he’s a dude that I don’t think would have gotten the opportunities he has gotten if it wasn’t for me. That might hurt some people’s feelings but facts are facts. They don’t care about your feelings,” said Punk.

Both guys were Ring of Honour World Champions before they signed WWE contracts, and they did so while they were still in that position. In the WWE, Rollins made his main roster debut as a member of The SHIELD during a plot involving Punk, who would subsequently engage in conflict with the "Hounds of Justice."
